Browsers only grant microphone access over https:// or on
localhost. Opening this page at a LAN address over plain HTTP
is refused, which is what makes a two-laptop demo fail.
Serve the page over HTTPS, or open it on the machine running it via
http://localhost:8080. Observe mode still works here.
